All we have to do is look at it over the top of the newspaper once a day. f you’re the sort of person who always wants a good red on hand for pizza night, a barbecue, or a mid-week bowl of pasta, this one’s got your name on it. It’s our classic cool-climate Yarra Valley Sangiovese, aged for 15 months to build texture and savoury detail, while still keeping that fresh, energetic Sangiovese vibe.

In the glass you’ll find sour cherry and juicy blackberry up front, with caramel, fennel seed, dried herbs and a little lick of liquorice. It’s medium-bodied, bright and crunchy, with fresh acidity, fine tannins and a savoury, slightly earthy finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. A proper cool-climate banger, and very at home with anything involving red sauce, grilled meats or a big bowl of pasta.
