Occhipinti Bombolieri 2021

Of the three 'Vino di Contrada' Frappato wines produced by Arianna Occhipinti, the Bombolieri BB shows the darkest fruit aromas and flavours, as well as cherry and raspberry. There is also abundant acidity, giving the wine a lovely freshness, and a silky texture and savouriness/earthiness that provide an extra dimension of enjoyment.

What is interesting about the 'Vino di Contrada' project of Arianna Occhipinti is that each of three Frappato wines (FL, PT and BB) come from the same vineyard and grape, yet present quite diverse aroma and flavour profiles, showing once again the importance of the vineyard in the creation of superb wine.
