MMAD Chenin Blanc 2024

A gentle, cooler season has produced a Chenin Blanc loaded with character and purity. Hand-picked fruit was treated with a mix of whole-bunch and crushed pressing before fermentation in concrete and large oak, then matured in seasoned French puncheons for finesse rather than flavour. The result is a beautifully expressive wine, scented with jasmine, citrus blossom and grapefruit, leading into a lively palate that’s bright, textural and full of drive.

This vintage has the depth and structure to evolve gracefully in the cellar for many years, developing richer, more savoury layers as it matures.

An incredibly complex young Chenin, it opens with vibrant tones of apple, pear and stone fruit, entwined with gentle spice and a touch of almond. As it unfurls in the glass, hints of honey, ginger and citrus peel add extra dimension. Captivating now, with the promise of even more to come, it signals just how exciting Australian Chenin Blanc can be.
