Jean Bouteille Paradiso 2023

Single vineyard Syrah from the Erinka vineyard in Oakbank, Adelaide Hills. This 420m altitude vineyard is farmed organically by the Downer family with the help of viticulturist Dylan Grigg.

The Syrah vines are facing east on a gentle slope composed of schist on clay & benefiting from a long, cool ripening period to enhance its perfume.

Hand-picked, the Syrah undergo a 7 days carbonic maceration before getting foot stomp to release the juice out of the berries and start the infusion on skin which lasted 10 days before pressing.

Elevage in French barriques for 8 months one fine lees.

Bottled on site in our Basket Range winery without fining nor filtration.
