Brave New Wine Schadenfreude Shiraz 2020

This Schadenfreude is a combination of three clones from Swinney's Vineyard in Frankland River (470, 174 and Waldron) and fruit from our Moorialup Vineyard in the Porongurups. Some carbonic batches, some whole bunch batches, with the rest destemmed. As always 100% natural primary and secondary fermentation, hand plunged, no fining or filtration, minimal sulphites.

The wine is dark cherry red with bright red edges. Lifted nose of raspberry and plum with an exotic spiciness, Sichuan pepper, star anise and cloves. The palate is light and bright with red and blue fruits, a silky mid palate and excellent length carried by velvety tannins and a dusty tobacco finish. Delicious drinking.
